2021 Baroudeur: An important update

After careful consideration, we are disappointed to announce that Wayne State University will not host a Baroudeur ride in 2021. We made this difficult decision because of ongoing uncertainty and health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic. While there is much to be optimistic about at this time and much progress has been made, there are still many unknowns, and the ride as we know and love it is simply not feasible at this time.

While we share your disappointment, we hope you will join us in understanding the need to keep our community safe, prioritize public health, and maintain the high standard of excellence we have established for the Baroudeur. We can all keep the Baroudeur spirit alive this summer with safe, socially distanced rides, and we look forward to seeing you in 2022 for what is sure to be our best ride yet.

The Baroudeur wouldn't be possible without you, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support. Together, we've had a lot of fun and helped Wayne State students achieve their dream of earning a degree — we look forward to continuing to do so in the future.

If you would still like to support student scholarships or the Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) Program at this time, you can do so online

Thank you,

The Wayne State University Baroudeur team
